You may be asking why haven't I tried talking to a psychiatrist and legally obtain a prescription, it's because I have NO health insurance and definetly not ebough money to speak with a professional. You should avoid taking it more than once in a day and also more than one consecutive day. If he has anxiety, he should tell him what his problems actually are and let the doctor prescribe what is actually best for him. I can tell you about my experience, but for the record I am OCD/GAD, and not social anxiety, but maybe it'll help anyways. I've been going to lot of social events without medication but my mind still looks back at all those fun moments and says "It was a horrible time, you were horrible" and the memories are all negative.
If you want all day coverage, it's not the med for you most likely. But it sounds like having something just for the days when the OCD gets really rough might be a good choice. I've been on it about a week so it isn't fully in effect.

We're just trying to be proactive and get on the track to communicating well, but obviously my anxiety and compulsions have come up fairly often. Fast forward to this morning.
